Why This is The best?

Macaroni and Cheese is my personal favorite food and I can assure you that this is the best crock pot macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had!

Unusual ingredients, amazing flavor. The recipe (and the reviews) speak for themselves.
It has a perfect consistency every time (and the pasta is not mushy).
This recipe takes only about 10 minutes of prep and the slow cooker does the rest.
This recipe can be doubled for a crowd (and left warm for serving).
Everyone loves this recipe when I make it.

WHAT TO SERVE WITH MAC AND CHEESE?

I would add protein. Either chicken or beef is the protein of choice in my house. Kids, of course, prefer chicken, so I often make Mustard Fried Chicken Wings or Homemade Chicken Nuggets recipes.

CAN Macaroni and Cheese BE MADE AHEAD?

You can add all ingredients into the crockpot (including butter and cheeses) and keep it in the fridge the night before.

On the day you plan to serve the dish, cook it on low for 2 hours but give everything a good mixing after the first half-hour of cooking. Mix the cheeses with the soup and milk first, so they disperse and don’t clump up.

Macaroni and cheese ingredients

  • 8 ounces of box elbow Macaroni
  • 2 cups of shredded Cheddar
  • 2 cups of milk
  • ¼ cup of butter
  • ¼ cup of flour
  • Ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp of salt

Preparing the Macaroni and cheese recipe

  1. First, you want to bring your pot with some salted water to boil.
  2. Once that is done, you start cooking your Macaroni in the water and stir from time to time. It should be cooked but also firm when you bite it. 8 minutes is usually the right timeline for this. Then you can drain it. (source: ineskohl.info)
  3. The next thing you must do is to melt your butter in the saucepan at medium heat. Make sure that you stir the pepper, salt, and flour until it’s all smooth. 5 minutes will do it. Then you need to slowly add the milk into the mixture and stir until it’s bubbling yet rather smooth. Again, 5 minutes will do the trick for this.
  4. Now you must add some Cheddar cheese to the mixture and stir until you see that the cheese is fully melted. This will take anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes.
  5. Lastly, you will need to fold the Macaroni into your cheese sauce. The recipe is complete and ready to go when it’s fully coated.

As you can see, the Macaroni and cheese recipe is amazing and not that hard to make. It’s a good idea to at least test it out for yourself and have fun; it’s definitely worth a shot!
